Recently, ZHGAS won the bid for the Phase I EPC General Contracting Project for Sludge Carbonization at the Henan Qixian Wastewater Treatment Plant. This project marks a significant win for ZHGAS in the sludge treatment sector and establishes a collaborative partnership with the local government.

The project plans to construct a sludge carbonization unit with a processing capacity of 50 tons per day, aimed at further treating the sludge generated by the Qixian Wastewater Treatment Plant. After dehydration, drying, and high-temperature carbonization treatment, the sludge forms carbides that are chemically stable and environmentally harmless. The combustible gases produced during this process are burned to provide heat for the carbonization and the oxidative decomposition of dioxins. Once operational, the project will effectively address the issue of secondary sludge pollution and improve the local ecological environment.

Currently, common sludge disposal methods include landfilling, aerobic composting, anaerobic digestion, and drying and incineration. These traditional processes present issues and drawbacks such as sticky sludge that cannot be stacked, the presence of difficult-to-degrade toxic organic matter and heavy metals, safety hazards from methane production, and dioxin generation during incineration. ZHGAS's sludge carbonization pyrolysis technology converts the organic components in sludge into small molecule hydrocarbons through dry distillation and thermal decomposition. The heat generated from the combustion of these hydrocarbons is then utilized for the carbonization process and dioxin decomposition. After carbonization treatment, the sludge forms carbonized products rich in fixed carbon, which can be used as soil amendment materials or fertilizers for agriculture and landscaping. They can also be processed into adsorbents, deodorizers, fuels, or snowmelt agents. Heavy metals in the carbonized products are solidified, significantly increasing their stability and resistance to leaching under natural conditions, thus posing no harm to environmental safety. Compared to traditional sludge treatment technologies, ZHGAS's sludge carbonization pyrolysis technology boasts low investment costs, a high level of harmlessness, significant reduction and resource utilization effects, and excellent applicability and economic viability.

The project has received strong support from the Qixian government. Qixian, located at a transportation hub and bordering industrial cities such as Hebi and Weihui, generates a large amount of hazardous waste annually. Qixian anticipates strengthening cooperation with ZHGAS in the field of solid and hazardous waste in the future, jointly creating high-quality demonstration projects with both environmental and economic benefits.

In the future, ZHGAS will adhere to the business philosophy of "customer first." The company will continue to monitor the development of the solid and hazardous waste industry, actively respond to relevant industrial policies, and persist in scientific research and innovation closely aligned with industrial development needs. Through technology integration, system optimization, engineering development, and market application and promotion, it aims to apply harmless disposal and comprehensive resource utilization technologies for various types of solid and hazardous waste to relevant industries, providing practical and feasible solutions for waste-generating entities.
