On the first day of 2021, 14 engineering and design personnel from the indirect cooling upgrade project teams for Jinmei Tianyuan, Shanxi Jinxiang, and Shanxi Jinfeng fixed-bed gasification, under ZHGAS, spent the day at their respective project sites. They were unable to return home to reunite with their families during this holiday and spent the New Year amidst intense and orderly work.
The fixed-bed gasification indirect cooling upgrade projects for Tianyuan Chemical, Shanxi Jinxiang, and Shanxi Jinfeng were industrial kiln deep treatment projects undertaken by ZHGAS in 2020. In response to the requirement in the "Comprehensive Treatment Plan for Air Pollution from Industrial Kilns" stating that "industries such as nitrogen fertilizer using fixed-bed intermittent coal gasifiers should accelerate the transition of coal gas cooling from direct water washing to indirect cooling," ZHGAS , leveraging its years of experience in the development, design, and operation of dry cooling and purification systems, innovatively developed a set of indirect cooling technology suitable for intermittent fixed-bed modification. This technology integrates widely proven cyclone pre-dust removal, dry dust removal, and indirect cooling technologies, forming an integrated process for gas dust removal, purification, and indirect cooling, which not only recovers gas dust but also solves the high pollution problem associated with direct cooling circulating water.
The aforementioned three projects are all gasification section renovation projects, with tight construction schedules and numerous construction constraints. In the early stages of the projects, renovations proceeded concurrently with factory production. After the factory ceased production, renovations were carried out simultaneously with maintenance. This involved many overlapping interfaces and posed significant renovation challenges. To ensure project construction progress and constructability, ZHGAS systematically dispatched design personnel from various specialties to the sites, to adjust and refine design plans based on collected original as-built drawings and actual site conditions. The project sites are at high altitudes; temperatures had dropped to zero degrees Celsius by late November, and by December, extreme weather conditions of minus fifteen to sixteen degrees Celsius were encountered. Despite the severe cold and hardships, on-site construction and design personnel often worked late into the night to meet deadlines and accelerate progress, pushing forward with project construction at full speed.
Throughout the construction process, the project teams rigorously implemented and accelerated project management, scientifically formulated progress plans, regularly organized project communication meetings, and summarized project execution. To ensure project progress, they overcame numerous difficulties such as overlapping work surfaces, numerous inherent obstacles, and concurrent renovation and production, tackling one construction bottleneck after another and creatively completing their target tasks. The indirect cooling modification at Shanxi Jinxiang is nearing completion; Tianyuan Chemical's Unit 2 indirect cooling device is about to be put into operation, and Unit 1 will complete installation this month; and installation at Shanxi Jinfeng is also nearing its end.
ZHGAS has successfully constructed numerous projects, characterized by its genuine dedication, diligent execution, and meticulous professional expertise. It has gradually grown into a "rising star" in the industry, progressively gaining market recognition and client trust.
