To implement the company’s talent-driven development strategy and enhance the professional expertise and practical skills of engineering personnel, ZHGAS conducted a specialized Engineering Project Management Training at its headquarters from January 3 to January 15. The training was organized by the Engineering Department and Human Resources Department, with support from the Administration Department.

This 11-day program comprised in-house training and external training sessions. The in-house training covered the company’s core business areas, key technologies, and institutional regulations. External training focused on high-efficiency execution, safety management, and contract management.

Yu Kuangshi, General Manager of ZHGAS, systematically introduced the company’s operational status and development prospects, providing a detailed explanation of the patented Circulating Fluidized Bed Coal Gasification (CGAS) Technology and its applications. He emphasized that engineering managers are the drivers and executors of the company’s operational activities. He urged trainees to value the learning opportunity, adopt a rigorous attitude, integrate theory with practice, and apply the training outcomes to real-world projects to enhance their professional capabilities.

Dr. Yang Shaojun, Head of the R&D Department, design discipline leaders, and Han Lei, Head of the Cost Control Department, delivered specialized analyses on the company’s patented technologies, common design challenges, and project cost control management. Representatives from the Procurement, Finance, and Administration Departments shared insights on project procurement management, financial knowledge, and corporate policies. During the training, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on critical challenges in their work, exchanged project management experiences, proposed recommendations for cross-departmental collaboration, and achieved substantial outcomes.

External trainers guided participants through three themes: “Professional Dedication for High-Efficiency Execution”, “Construction Safety Management”, and “Project Contract Management and Analysis”. These sessions prompted reflections on the execution, management, and collaboration skills required for engineering managers, helping them build project management frameworks and enhance their capabilities.

On the final day, Engineering Director Han Peng led participants in indoor team-building activities. Through interactive games, trainees strengthened mutual understanding, fostered camaraderie, and improved team cohesion in a harmonious atmosphere.

Participants unanimously acknowledged the training’s strong relevance and practicality, noting its comprehensive coverage of business skills essential for engineering managers across the entire project lifecycle. They pledged to apply the knowledge to their daily work.

2020 will be a pivotal year for ZHGAS as several key projects commence operations. ZHGAS will also pursue new strategic initiatives to enhance market expansion and actively explore new projects. Building a highly skilled and competent project management team is one of the company’s critical priorities. This training has played a vital role in cultivating engineering management talent with integrated planning and execution capabilities, thereby elevating ZHGAS’s project management expertise.
