On the afternoon of April 25, Yang Jianqiang, Secretary of the Qixian County Party Committee in Henan Province, led a team to inspect the operational status of the Qixian Sludge Carbonization Project. The project successfully commenced operations on April 15 and is currently running at full capacity. The successful commissioning of this project marks another significant step for ZHGAS in the environmental protection sector.

The project has a daily processing capacity of 50 tons, treating sludge with 80% moisture content from the Qixian Wastewater Treatment Plant. After drying and carbonization, the sludge is transformed into a chemically stable and environmentally harmless carbonized material. The combustible gases generated during carbonization are utilized through combustion to provide heat for sludge drying. Since its commissioning, the project has maintained stable operations, with processing capacity, emission indicators, product quality, and safety reliability all meeting design requirements. Upon going into operation, it can address the environmental pollution caused by sludge treatment at its source, improve the ecological environment in Qixian and surrounding areas, and make a positive contribution to local economic, environmental, and social development.

The project manager introduced the sludge carbonization project's treatment process, equipment composition, and current operational status to Secretary Yang, detailing the project's process advantages, key indicators, and the uses of the carbonized product. Secretary Yang expressed anticipation for the future environmental and social benefits the project will generate.

The project broke ground in June 2021, completed equipment installation by the end of December 2021, and began commissioning in March of this year. During its construction, it faced severe challenges, including site collapse and difficulties in equipment entry caused by a major rainstorm in Henan, as well as manpower scheduling issues due to recurring COVID-19 outbreaks. Under the leadership and support of the Qixian County Party Committee and County Government, the project team meticulously organized and scientifically planned, actively coordinating with various construction subcontractors and equipment manufacturers to form a synergistic effort. They solidified responsibilities and set reverse timelines to ensure project progress. Ultimately, the project successfully achieved its completion goal and commenced trial feeding in April of this year.

In the future, ZHGAS will adhere to a "customer-first" business philosophy, continuously focus on the development of the solid and hazardous waste industry, actively respond to relevant industrial policies, and persist in technological innovation to meet industry development demands. Through the development of technical products, system optimization and integration, and engineering promotion, ZHGAS will continue to upgrade its technologies for harmless disposal and comprehensive resource utilization of multi-source solid and hazardous waste, providing practical system solutions for waste-generating entities.
