Developed by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), CGAS technology is a high-efficiency, clean coal conversion solution with over a decade of R&D. Its industrialization was supported under the CAS "Hongguang Special Project" for key technology transfer.

Shandong Rongxin Pure Oxygen CGAS Gasification Coupled with Fly Ash Melting Project

Utilizes gasification ash from CGAS gasifiers and biomass through pure oxygen fluidized melting gasification technology, to produce syngas for cascaded resource utilization

Capacity: 290 tonnes/day

Technology: Fluidized bed preheating + high-temperature entrained-flow melting

Outputs: 16,000 Nm³/h syngas and molten glass body

Syngas Utilization: Direct feedstock for downstream coal chemical production units

Xinjiang Tianye Gasification Ash/Slag Resource Utilization & Waste Heat/Pressure Recovery Project – Boiler Package EPC

Equipment: 1× Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) Incinerator (490,000 tons/year)

Gasification ash/slag from entrained-flow gasifiers → syngas for Ethylene glycol production 

Filtered ash/slag directly fed into incineration system without drying → Steam generation for coal cascaded utilization

Linzhou Fengbao Residual Carbon Disposal Project

Equipment: 1×75 t/h Residual Carbon Combustion Furnace for treating gasification ash/slag

Commissioned in August 2022; all parameters and technical indicators are performing well.

Plant-wide energy efficiency and secondary energy utilization rate significantly improved, achieving maximum energy efficiency and zero emissions.

Henan Qi County Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Carbonization Project

Equipment : 1×50 t/d sludge carbonization unit

Process: Dehydrated sludge → high-temperature carbonization → stable and eco-safe carbonized products; The generated combustible gas provides a heat source for the carbonization process

Addresses the issue of secondary pollution from sludge

Zigui Sludge Carbonization Project

40 tonnes/day sludge treatment via thermal drying + continuous high-speed carbonization;

Workflow: 80% moisture sludge → thermal drying (30% moisture content) → carbonization unit → carbonized products.

During operations, ZHGAS is responsible for inspections, routine maintenance, and operations for the sludge treatment facilities.
